The Mandarin Oriental, Marrakech, the newest jewel of the luxury hotel chain, opens and brings hospitality with an Asian touch to Morocco!
The resort, nestled in a 20 hectare landscaped garden with a sea of blossoms from 100,000 roses, olive trees, bougainvillea and views of the Atlas Mountains, is only a few minutes from the Medina, the historic center of Marrakech. The 54 luxurious villas (up to 440 square meters) and nine elegant suites are decorated in a traditional Berber style with Moorish influences. The villas are set in private gardens with swimming pool and whirlpool respectively. The terraces for sunbathing and outdoor dining. The suites feature a rooftop pool, which offers breathtaking views of the gardens and the Atlas Mountains.
Elements of the Berber culture and Arab-Andalusian local color, paired with Asian influences, determine the rustic minimalist yet elegant contemporary interior design of the Paris Star design duo Patrick Gilles and Dorothée Boissier at Mandarin Oriental, Marrakech.Modeled after the traditional riads determine classic tadelakt motifs, hand-blown vases and hand-woven wool carpets the interior design.
The Mandarin Oriental, Marrakech has a wide range of restaurants and bars. In Mes’Lalla served the Moroccan star chef Meryem Cherkaoui contemporary interpretations of Moroccan dishes. The Salon Berbère offers a unique view of the resort and the Atlas Mountains breakfast, all day Moroccan and international meals, snacks and drinks. Directly on the biggest swimming pool in the shade of Bougainvillea offers the Pool Garden is an ideal place to enjoy lunch outdoors. Light Mediterranean dishes with crunchy vegetables from the hotel garden are on the menu.
The spa offers 1,800 sqm six treatment rooms, including a couple and a single spa suite, each with a vitality pool, a room for Thai treatments and a private garden where also can occur treatments. Two luxurious Moroccan hammams are dedicated to treatments with the traditional “Black Soap”. The spa also has a hair salon, a beauty salon with pedicure and manicure cabins and a fitness center.
